QUILT DONATION RAFFLE FOR CHILDREN IN NEED |
A message from Mary Davis
Secretary of Truck and Bus Retirees |
PROJECT LINUS
was named after the adorable security blanket toting character from the "Peanuts" comic strip.
Creator Charles Schultz was aware of the efforts done by this organization.
He was delighted to have Linus inspire blanket makers to help children in need.
They make new homes and blankets for sick and traumatized children.
Mary has engaged in this project to help these kids.
She has made a quilt to be auctioned off. See photo below.
Those funds will be given to the Project Linus for needy children fund.
The Harley Davidsdon Quilt Mary has made was assembled from T-shirts incorporating logos of 15 different states and Canada woven into it.
The size is 102 x 127 (inches)
A raffle was held Saturday, December 2, 2006
All proceeds went to the Dayton Chapter of PROJECT LINUS
Drawing Location was: F & S Harley Davidson
7220 N. Dixie Dr.
